He has written more than 20 books. He has published many books with Edible Communities magazines; with numerous brands at Hearst magazines including Good Housekeeping\, Country Living\, Esquire\, Town & Country\, Cosmopolitan\, House Beautiful and others; as well as working with M. Shanken Communications wherein he published books with Wine Spectator and Cigar Aficionado. His authors include Kevin Zraly\, Matt Kramer\, Oz Clarke\, Tom Stevenson\, Clay Risen\, Jim Meehan\, Michael Jackson\, Stephen Beaumont\, Joshua M. Bernstein\, and many others. \nHe is the editor of East Coast Wineries blog which has more than 1.3 million individual page views\, and has published more than half a dozen books on wine\, beers\, and spirits\, including East Coast Wineries\, Big Whiskey\, The New Single Malt Whiskey\, The Wine Notebook\, and many others. \nHe was also the co-founder of Hudson-Chatham Winery\, the first winery to achieve a score of 90 points or more for a red hybrid wine.
