SUMMARY:Working with the Trade: Building Stronger Relationships for Winery Success
DESCRIPTION:Strong relationships with retailers\, restaurants\, distributors\, and buyers are essential for getting your wines in front of consumers. \nIn this session\, we’re bringing in expert voices from both the on-premise and off-premise trade to share real-world insights on what buyers are looking for\, how to engage with them effectively\, and how to build partnerships that last. Featured speaker Chris Struck brings firsthand experience as a Beverage Director at acclaimed New York City restaurants and a deep understanding of how purchasing decisions are made. Joining him is Christy Frank\, founder of Frankly Wines and Copake Wine Works and a 25-year veteran of every tier of the wine trade\, bringing a wealth of knowledge from the off-premise and independent retail perspective. \nYou’ll leave with actionable strategies you can put to work right away. \n  \nSpeakers:\n \nChris Struck  \nChris Struck has worked in the food & beverage industry for over twenty years and holds undergraduate degrees in Culinary Arts & Food Service Management from Johnson & Wales University\, and an Executive MBA in Food Marketing from Saint Joseph’s University.  \nHe has gained industry certifications from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust\, Society of Wine Educators\, Court of Master Sommeliers\, and Deutsche Wein und Sommelierschule in Koblenz\, Germany.  \nNYC restaurant experience has included Racines NY\, Union Square Cafe\, and ilili\, where he served as Beverage Director. He currently represents a portfolio of iconic spirit and wine producers in the New York Metro market.  \nIn addition to working as a sommelier and consultant\, Struck has taught beverage and marketing classes as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Hospitality Management Department at the City University of New York’s (CUNY) College of Technology since 2018.  \n \nChristy Frank \nBased in New York\, Christy Frank is a freelance writer\, a wine educator\, and a leader of the independent wine retail scene. She is the founder of Copake Wine Works in the Hudson Valley/Berkshires region and writes for various industry publications\, focusing on the commercial aspects of selling wine within this convoluted system. SUMMARY:Legal & TTB Considerations For Production of Non‑Alcoholic Wine & Ready-to-Drink Beverages
DESCRIPTION:July 29\, 2026 | 9:00 AM \nAs non-alcoholic wines and ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages continue to gain traction\, producers face a complex and evolving regulatory landscape. Understanding how these products are defined\, classified\, and regulated is critical to bringing them to market successfully—and compliantly. \nThis webinar will break down the key legal and regulatory considerations for producing non-alcoholic wine and RTDs\, with a focus on federal requirements and New York-specific implications. We’ll clarify how “non-alcoholic wine” is defined under federal rules\, when a product is no longer considered wine\, and how that shift impacts oversight—whether through the TTB or FDA. \nParticipants will gain practical guidance on labeling requirements\, including what must be disclosed versus what is optional\, as well as when formula approvals are required and how to prepare for submission. The session will also explore state-by-state considerations\, common compliance pitfalls\, and real-world examples of both compliant and non-compliant products. \nWe’ll also cover approval timelines\, available regulatory resources\, and key marketing and advertising dos and don’ts to help ensure your product positioning aligns with current rules. \nWhether you’re exploring new product lines or already in production\, this session will help you navigate the regulatory landscape with greater clarity and confidence—so you can innovate without missteps. \n\nLearn More and Register Here
