Members cover the entire industry\, ranging from vineyard owners\, small and large wineries to importers\, wholesalers and retailers\, regional organizations\, academic institutions and suppliers to the industry. The WMC produces the longest running large scale tracking survey of wine consumers on a biannual basis\, as well as 2-4 in-depth studies each year on specific topics. \nChristian is also the proprietor of Full Glass Research\, which provides market research and industry analysis for food and beverage producers and marketers. Miller has worked in market research\, brand and category management for over two decades\, and has marketed wine brands ranging from a few thousand to over a million cases. From 2008 until 2023\, he co-directed the UC Davis OIV Wine Marketing course. Mr. Miller holds a BA in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College and an MBA from Cornell University.

This is your opportunity to share challenges\, regional needs\, and ideas\, to ask questions\, and help shape statewide research and programs that will strengthen our industry’s future—together. \nThis session will also include a special presentation by Stefan Fleming\, Director of Industry Development for New York State’s craft beverage and industrial hemp sectors. As the head of New York’s One Stop Shop for the craft beverage industry\, Stefan will explain his role with state government and provide information on pertinent economic development incentives\, and export and tourism opportunities. He will also provide updates to the state’s alcohol-related laws and regulations\, answer frequently asked questions\, and provide timely information that licensees should be aware of while operating a business in this highly regulated marketplace. \nThis visit will also include an overview of important NYWGF programs\, including: \n🔬 2025-26 NYWGF-Funded Research \nIn the 2024-25 there was total of $647\,188 in research projects funded. Of that $507\,249 were used for viticulture-focused projects\, $121\,670 for enology\, and $18\,269 for other fruit product (making food products from concord grapes). \n🌱 NYWGF Sustainability Program \nSustainable vineyard practices are quickly becoming a baseline expectation for buyers of grapes\, juice\, and wine. From June 1st through 15th\, our dog-friendly wineries are celebrating pups and their people with treats\, belly rubs\, and wine-filled adventures. \nBring your four-legged best friend along to enjoy goodies at every stop—while you sip\, shop\, and soak in the views. Bonus: June 15 is Father’s Day\, and what better way to celebrate than a day on the trail with your favorite fur baby? Dog dads\, this one’s for you. \nHere’s how it works:\n\n\nStart at any participating winery and pick up your Pooch-Friendly Punch Card. \n\n\nVisit 6 or more wineries\, purchase at least one bottle at each\, and turn in your completed card at your final stop (or mail it in) to be entered to win a grand prize! \n\n\nA Few Notes Before You Go:\n\n\nAll tasting rooms are dog-friendly\, but restaurant areas are off-limits for pups. \n\n\nParticipation is free—just cover your own tasting fees\, if any. \n\n\nThe first 100 to pre-register will get a free trail bandana for their pup! \n\n\nDogs must be leashed at all times and ready for polite trail behavior. \n\n\nExpect even more fun—souvenirs\, dog biscuits\, photo ops\, contests\, and more are in the works! \n\n\n🐾 What to Expect Along the Trail:\nEach of our participating wineries is rolling out the red carpet (and maybe a treat or two!) for your four-legged companions.
