SUMMARY:Wag Your Tail Along the Trail
DESCRIPTION:Wag Your Tail Along the Trail\n\n\n\nDearest four-legged friends\, \nThe moment has come for you to nudge your human companion and make your way to the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail\, from June 1st through the 30th. Each winery along the trail has prepared delightful treats just for you\, the most delightful of all creatures\, and ample pets and belly rubs await from admirers aplenty to make your tail wag with joyous vigor. \n“But what about my beloved human?” you might inquire. Fear not\, for they too shall partake in the festivities. At the very first winery you visit within the designated dates\, your human will receive a ‘pooch-friendly punch card’. Should they manage to guide you to 6 or more wineries\, acquire a bottle at each\, and turn in their punch card at the final stop (or mail it to the wine trail office)\, they will enter for a chance to claim a grand prize! The precise nature of the reward remains a closely guarded secret\, but we shall reveal it in due course. \nTake note\, dear reader\, of these important considerations for your human’s awareness: \n\nThe tasting rooms of the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail’s esteemed wineries are entirely pet-friendly\, though restaurant areas are an exception.\nParticipation in this splendid event is free\, save for any tasting fees your human may incur at each winery.\nThe first 100 who pre-register will receive a free bandana to enhance your undeniable charm. (see below to pre-register)\nWhile we trust you’ll be the epitome of good manners\, please stay leashed at all times. We wouldn’t want you to dart off with unchecked enthusiasm and lose your way.\nAdditionally\, the wine trail has been busily planning further delights\, including souvenir options to mark your visit\, delectable dog biscuits to take home\, photo opportunities\, contests\, and much more!\n\nYours devotedly\, \nThe Canine Connoisseur and Wine Trail Leader \n  \nPre-register here to receive a bandana fit for your wine dog era!

SUMMARY:DEI Over Wine: Cohort 2
DESCRIPTION:DEI OVER WINE: COHORT 2\n\nWEDNESDAY JUNE 26 @ 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM\n\nDEI Over Wine is a three-part series taught by NYK’s Beverage Education Manager\, Maiah Johnson Dunn (she/her)\, and Rochester-area DEI Practitioner\, Syd Bell (she/her). \nMaiah and Syd serve up diversity\, equity\, and inclusion concepts in actionable conversations paired with real-world examples. Together\, we’ll dissect power and privilege and the importance of context\, explore building inclusive spaces\, and create a roadmap for active allyship. \nWe encourage businesses to send two team members as diversity of perspective is important to this work. Come prepared for honest conversation and good wine. \nWhat You’ll Learn: \nWednesday\, June 26: Session 1: Laying the groundwork.\nYou’ll learn how we got here\, how each individual’s actions can drive change\, and the difference between intent and impact. \nWednesday\, July 31: Session 2: Exploring people – yourself included.\nYou’ll learn about the different identities (and biases) we hold\, and how to consider them when making decisions for your business. \nWednesday\, August 21: Session 3: Building inclusive spaces.\nYou’ll hear from your peers\, identify what makes a space inclusive\, and leave with the tools to put your learning into practice. \nDownload the DEI Over Wine Event Flyer here to learn more. \nThe ticket price is good for one person to attend the three-part series. We encourage businesses to send two team members as diversity of perspective is important to this work. The classes will run monthly on the following dates: 6/26\, 7/31\, 8/21. Each session will meet in person at New York Kitchen and will include a generous grazing board alongside a sampling of wine\, beer\, or spirits. Feel free to bring a bottle to share while you network after each session. \nNew York Kitchen is proud to partner with the New York Wine & Grape Foundation\, which will provide one $50 discount per NYWGF winery or grower member to attend DEIOW.
