SUMMARY:Control Oxygen Ingress at the Closure
DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by Waterloo Container and Vinventions\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nToday’s modern closures allow a winemaker to control the maceration of their wine in the bottle after bottling. The trick is knowing exactly what can be controlled by the closure. Join our presenters as they examine the process of bottling and the shelf-life expectations for various closures. This session will also include some inside notes on how to audit your bottling line too! \nClick Here to Register \n\n\nAbout Our Presenters \nDon Huffman\, Director of Sales and Wine Quality\, Vinventions\nMy history is rooted in agriculture based in Northern California. My father\, sister and I currently own a small 80 acre orchard of almond trees – about 9\,000 trees. I made my first wine in the basement of my college fraternity house in San Jose\, CA (’88 Zin). I graduated with an art history degree and spent 25+ years in marketing\, sales and advertising. Nomacorc was one of my clients dating back to 2001. Joined the Nomacorc (now Vinventions) team in 2014 to launch the Greenline\, zero carbon emissions line. Am currently the Director of Sales and Wine Quality for North America. Partnered with a friend to open a boutique winery in Suisun Valley California in 2018. I am a firm believer in relationship/socratic selling. I’m an open book and love talking about wine\, farming\, sustainability practices\, family and more. \nGeorge Hall\, Sales Manager\, Waterloo Container\nGeorge brings over 30 years of sales experience to the wine bottle and closure industry at the family owned Waterloo Container. In the field\, he works closely with customers to identify their needs and to provide long term\, competitive packaging solutions.
