DESCRIPTION:The winery and grower community in New York state has a rich history of working and succeeding together despite facing a variety of challenges through the years. Recognizing the longstanding and bold spirit of our community members and their numerous achievements\, the New York Wine & Grape Foundation has been honoring industry leaders & champions of New York wine with the Unity Awards since 1990. \nWe invite you to celebrate this year’s Unity Award recipients at a special luncheon during the B.E.V. NY Conference on March 28\, 2023 in Syracuse\, NY. The Jim Trezise Lifetime Achievement\, The Phyllis Feder Unity Award\, and the Jim Finkle Industry Award will be accepted live\, with remaining award winners recognized immediately following. \nFor all B.E.V. NY is New York’s annual conference for the grape and wine industry\, combining the resources of the New York Wine & Grape Foundation\, Cornell’s Extension Enology Lab\, and the Finger Lakes Grape Program. The conference invites academic and industry experts to present information that addresses important issues for the industry\, and to do so in a way that provides practical information to those who attend. \nThis year’s B.E.V. NY conference is a three-day event focused on what story the data can tell us about these changing influences\, and how we can make the most of opportunities for New York wine growing and winemaking for the future.\nIn 2023\, we are planning a hybrid conference with opportunities for both attendees and speakers to join virtually.
