Budbreak in New York

with Alice Wise

Spring has sprung! Take a (virtual) trip to New York’s wine country as the 2021 growing season commences with budbreak. As part of our new Grower Series, this online session gives an on-the-ground look at vernal developments in the vineyard across AVAs (Finger Lakes, Lake Erie, and the North Folk of Long Island) with winemaker-led vineyard tours that will reveal what’s happening now and predictions about what this year’s vintage may look like in the months ahead.

Moderator: Alice Wise, Association Senior Educator, Viticulture and Enology, Cornell University
