The New York Wine Industry Association (NYWIA) advocates for stability and advancement of the wine industry in New York through advocacy and public education. It’s the only association of wine and grape professionals across the state, which focuses on informing, promoting, representing and defending the diverse interests of New York’s wine industry.

NYWIA serves as a watchdog and lobbies on behalf of members. The association closely monitors legislative debates and activity, not only in Albany, but across the country. NYWIA and its executive board members have forged effective relationships with key New York legislators and state agencies’ representatives.

Since it’s creation in 2009, NYWIA has positioned itself as a voice for the New York wine industry and successfully defeated legislation harmful to consumer choice and New York’s farm-beverage based community. One of NYWIA’s historical focuses has been to advocate for open market within New York State. NYWIA champions legislative solutions which grant the most freedom to the industry and associates while informing and protecting customers.
