New Release Tasting & Pre-Harvest Check-in
Join Fred & Oskar for a virtual tasting that will focus on a 3-pack of wines that features our 2019 Gewürztraminer, the new release of our Field White, and the much anticipated Standing Stone Blanc de Blanc from 2017.
In a recent review from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, Mark Squires writes of the Blanc de Blanc, “This is the first sparkler made from the 1974 vines at Standing Stone, recently purchased by Hermann J. Wiemer. One of the underrated glories of both the Finger Lakes and Wiemer is sparklers. This is an impressive start to a new single-vineyard bottling. It has enough fruit, but it is still dominated by its acidity. Powerful, pointed and intense…” From the very beginning of our journey at Standing Stone, we have been anxiously awaiting the release of this wine. After 20 months resting on the lees and 0 g/L dosage, this is a zippy sparkler, and the start of something quite special. We can’t wait to share it with you!
