Grape Market: Historical Pricing, Trends, and Future Performance

November 18, 2021 @ 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Virtual Event Virtual Event

This event is part of the Boldly, NY. Modern Farmer Workshop Series, and is limited to members of the Pilot Program.

At the core of marketing is, well, understanding your market! Thanks to years of data and reports collected by our colleagues at the Finger Lakes Grape Program and the Lake Erie Regional Grape Program, seminar participants will take a deep dive into grape market pricing for vinifera, hybrid, and table grapes across the state. Learn about the history of grape pricing, what the trends are currently and where future opportunities might lie for your particular business model. Presented by Kevin Martin, Extension Educator, Business Management, Lake Erie Regional Grape Program; Jennifer Phillips Russo, Cornell Viticulture Specialist, Lake Erie Regional Grape Program; and Hans Walter Peterson, Extension Associate, Finger Lakes Grape Program.
