Rosé’s approachability and versatility when it comes to food pairings is second to none when carefully crafted … and not all are created equal. “A rose is a rose is a rose” does not apply here in New York, where winemakers work with an array of grape varieties – including Sangiovese, Merlot, Lemberger, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc – and apply very different winemaker practices to create a wonderfully diverse range of styles of pink wine. Host Wanda Mann will explore the varied attitudes and processes that winemakers have adopted to craft quality wines in a style that has quickly moved from trend to serious wine category in its own right.
