The New York Wine & Grape Foundation (NYWGF) is thrilled to announce that the 2026 New York Wine Classic Awards Ceremony will take place on Monday, August 10th from 6:00 – 7:00 PM EST. The live, virtual celebration is free and open to the public, and this year, New York’s best wines are ready to take center stage.
Hosted for the third consecutive year by acclaimed wine expert Wanda Mann, East Coast Editor of The SOMM Journal and founder of Wine With Wanda, the ceremony will reveal the winners of the Governor’s Cup (Best Wine), Winery of the Year (Best Overall Showing), and Best in Category awards, honoring the outstanding winemakers and producers setting the standard for New York wine in 2026.
This year marks the fifth year that the New York Wine Classic has enlisted the expert sensory panel of the Beverage Testing Institute (BevTest), a panel of top sommeliers, beverage directors, educators, and industry leaders, to judge submissions from wineries across the state. The result is a competition that wine lovers, trade professionals, and industry insiders can trust to reflect the very best New York has to offer.
