Buttonwood Grove Winery announces addition of Carmela Barbagallo as Director of Wholesale Sales

Buttonwood Grove Winery is excited to announce the addition of Carmela Barbagallo to their team as Director of Wholesale Sales.  Her focus will be on increasing wholesale distribution in New York and Ohio, and creating distributor relationships in additional states to broaden distribution channels. Additionally, she will work with partner organizations such as the New York Wine and Grape Foundation and Finger Lakes Wine Alliance to broaden Buttonwood Grove’s participation in multiple marketing programs.

Barbagallo is well known within New York’s wine marketing circles, as she previously served as Executive Director of the Finger Lakes Wine Alliance.  Her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing was achieved at SUNY Oswego, followed by a Master’s in Student Affairs Administration from the University of Rochester.  She also holds a Level 2 Award in Wines from WSET.

Other professional experience includes international project management for Citigroup, restaurant management at Cayuga Lake’s Inns of Aurora, and wine sales and distribution for Elmira Distributing Company.  She also teaches an Exploring Wine course at Cayuga Community College, and is a member of the Finger Lakes Chapter of Women for WineSense.
