Flexible online training provides practical tools, expert guidance, and peer networking for current and aspiring agritourism operators.
New York agritourism operators and farm businesses looking to strengthen their operations are invited to enroll in the new Continuous Open New York Agritourism Curriculum, a comprehensive professional development program designed to help farms build successful, sustainable, and profitable agritourism experiences.
Participants can choose the learning format that best fits their schedule. The curriculum is available as:
Asynchronous Online Learning – Complete the course at your own pace with one year of access.
Live Virtual Sessions – Join interactive sessions on January 22, February 5, and February 19, from Noon–1:00 p.m.
The cost to participate is $100.
The curriculum combines expert instruction with practical, hands-on activities that participants can immediately apply to their own businesses.

In addition to expert-led instruction, participants will have opportunities to connect with fellow agritourism operators, share experiences, and learn from peers across New York State.
Prepare Your Farm for the 2027 Season
Throughout the curriculum, participants will develop practical resources to strengthen their operations, including:
- A SWOT analysis of their agritourism business
- An assessment of a potential new agritourism opportunity
- A job description and/or employee onboarding and training document
- A customized marketing strategy
- Connections with local and regional tourism promotion organizations, commodity groups, and other organizations that support agritourism throughout New York
