Dundee, NY – Gene Pierce, President/Owner of Glenora Wine Cellars has been honored with the prestigious “Productivity Tray” award by the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association. This award recognizes individuals or organizations that have significantly contributed to the sustainable growth and economic vitality of the American wine industry through professional consulting, innovation, technical research and knowledge, as well as leadership and active support.
Steve DiFrancesco, Winemaker Emeritus of Glenora and board member of the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association, will present the award to Gene on April 17th. “I am delighted to present the Productivity Tray to my friend and colleague,” said Steve DiFrancesco. “Gene has been incredibly influential in the Finger Lakes wine industry, having been a grape grower, winery owner, restaurant and hotelier owner for most of his life.”
“I am honored to receive this award,” said Gene, “especially amongst the previous past recipients. It has been a privilege to contribute to this industry, and I have thoroughly enjoyed witnessing the Finger Lakes region gain well-deserved recognition.”
