The New York Wine & Grape Foundation (NYWGF) is proud to announce the release of its 2024–2025 Annual Report, celebrating a year of measurable progress and renewed commitment to growing a sustainable, competitive, and internationally recognized New York wine and grape industry.
The report showcases a dynamic year in which NYWGF advanced critical initiatives in environmental certification, data reporting, marketing, and export growth. It includes key accomplishments such as the expansion of the New York Sustainable Winegrowing Program, the release of the state’s first comprehensive Vineyard Report in more than a decade, and enhanced visibility for New York wines on the global stage.
“This year’s milestones represent the strength of our statewide community and our shared commitment to building a vibrant future for New York wine,” said Sam Filler, Executive Director of NYWGF. “From launching new sustainability tools to securing international export support, our work is always focused on helping growers and wineries compete, connect, and thrive.”
Among the highlights of the 2024–2025 report:
Over 70 vineyards are now certified through the New York Sustainable Winegrowing Program, with the first wine bottles proudly displaying the Sustainability Trustmark.
The 2024 New York Vineyard Report was published, capturing the first industry-wide data in over a decade on varietal plantings and production trends.
NYWGF secured $1.3 million in USDA export funding, extending international marketing efforts into Europe, Canada, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam.
NYWGF launched new multilingual Food Pairing Guides and educational videos, designed to promote New York wines to consumers at home and abroad.
NYWGF’s ongoing initiatives, including its marketing partnerships, regional roadshows, and business development programs, are made possible through collaborative industry engagement and support from state and federal partners. The Annual Report details the Foundation’s commitment to data-informed strategy, industry education, and the global promotion of New York’s distinct cool- and cold-climate wines.
“Our success is driven by the energy and innovation of our members and partners,” said Filler. “We’re honored to serve as a catalyst and connector for the industry and look forward to continuing this important work together.”
