New Member Benefit: Finance, Accounting & Tax Resources

To assist our members with critical questions about tax planning, inventory accounting, general accounting, excise tax/TTB issues, sales tax, and more the New York Wine & Grape Foundation is pleased to offer a new benefit for Members, in partnership with Mengel, Metzger, Barr & Co. LLP. Beginning in December 2020, members will have access to financial and tax guidance in webinar form, as well as through individual consulting for their specific needs provided via a 60-minute one-on-one session.

How does work? 

 1. View the webinar: “Year-end Financial Planning and Current Hot Topics” (Email Valerie Venezia-Ross to get started.)

 2. Check your membership status. While the webinar is available to all NYWGF Members, the individual consulting is only provided to Tier 2 Members.

 3.  Complete the intake form after you view the recording of the webinar, to sign up for a consulting appointment.  

The Fine Print: Each winery requesting a one-on-one consult must have attended in person or confirmed they’ve listened to the recorded session noted above. Individual consultations will be scheduled on Tuesday afternoons between 1:30pm and 5:00pm or Thursday mornings between 9:00am and 12:00pm.  If these times are full or are not conducive for you, every effort will be made to identify a mutually agreed upon time.  Individual meetings will begin on December 8th and continue through February 12th, 2021. No meetings will be held 2/13/21 – 4/15/21, due to tax season.
