New York becomes the first Northeast state to feature AVA-specific wine trails in Wine Enthusiast’s Tasting Room Directory, expanding visibility for 100 local wineries through a dedicated regional page
The New York Wine & Grape Foundation (NYWGF) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Wine Enthusiast that will bring expanded visibility to New York’s wine regions through the Wine Enthusiast Tasting Room Directory. This initiative marks the launch of the directory’s first Northeast regional page, and the first to prominently showcase AVA-specific wine trails, a major step forward in digital wine tourism.
Serving as the ultimate guide to discover the vibrant tasting experiences of The Empire State, visitors to the Wine Enthusiast Tasting Room Directory will now have access to a dedicated New York landing page featuring 100 participating wineries and four of the state’s longstanding wine trails: the Keuka Lake Wine Trail, Cayuga Wine Trail, Long Island Wine Trail, and Shawangunk Wine Trail. These established trails – some with over four decades of history – are now being elevated through Wine Enthusiast, a leading wine media company with a highly trafficked website.
The New York regional page also includes:
- Editorial content from Wine Enthusiast’s award-winning media team
- A carousel of wine labels and ratings from the Wine Enthusiast Tasting Panel
- An interactive map with locator pins and a scrollable list of participating wineries
- High-resolution photography of New York vineyards and bottles
- Full contact details for each winery and direct booking links for tasting room reservations
“We are thrilled the new travel division launch has proven successful and the Tasting Room Directory is resonating with our audience. Our goal is to provide informative resources and practical tools for wine tourism across the United States and beyond,” said Jacqueline Strum, President of Wine Enthusiast Media. “This first regional page for the Northeast will serve as the ultimate guide for visitors to discover the diverse offerings and vibrant tasting experiences that New York State has to offer.”
This partnership reflects NYWGF’s continued commitment to enhancing consumer awareness of New York wines, both nationally and internationally. By collaborating with Wine Enthusiast, a certified B Corporation that is headquartered in New York, NYWGF has helped ensure that New York wineries—ranging from historic, family-run vineyards to innovative new producers—are positioned in front of a highly engaged wine audience.
“This collaboration represents a powerful opportunity to introduce more consumers to the quality and diversity of New York wines,” said Sam Filler, Executive Director of the New York Wine & Grape Foundation. “Wine Enthusiast’s Tasting Room Directory is a global resource with trusted editorial and advanced digital tools. We’re excited to see our winery partners showcased in such a thoughtful and engaging way, making it easier than ever for wine lovers to plan their next New York adventure.”
With increasing interest in agritourism and wine tourism across the U.S., this strategic partnership is expected to drive traffic to New York’s wine regions, support local businesses, and reinforce the state’s reputation as a destination for world-class wine experiences.
This project is supported through a Market New York grant awarded to the New York Wine & Grape Foundation by Empire State Development and I LOVE NY, New York State’s Division of Tourism.
